TEAMING UP TO TAKE DOWN A FORMIDABLE FOE

The Creator of The WERE Comic announced today that he was teaming up with Legend Empire Studios (a comic and animation production company that he confounded with Christopher Johnson, and Nathaniel Hart) and Grammars Ink in the hopes of finding a way to help find a cure to the dreaded disease that year after year takes the lives of thousands of individuals all over the world, Cancer.

 

To do this Mr. Harris and his partners plan to do this by offering the patrons of every convention they attend the opportunity to take part and participate in a special raffle drawing, which will be held for their chance to win a brand new Sony Playstation 3, which will be given away via a live drawing held on the last day of the convention. 

 

“Our goal with this is event is to raise not only money but awareness to a dreaded and serious disease, which year after year takes the lives of thousands if not millions of people. I should know, I lost several of my loved ones to this dreaded disease and I don't want anyone else to have to feel or suffer the pain of seeing their loved ones lying there helpless and hurting.” 

 

Mr. Harris stated in a recent interview when asked what makes him think that what he’s trying to do with the raffle style approach is going to make a big difference he emphatically replied;

 

 “I mean, I know that this is a very big issue and that ideas like this have been done time and time before. But what makes mine unique is the fact that it’s a win, win situation from all angles and for everyone involved. On the one hand you have an raffle event where in the end one lucky participant will win a great game system but on the other those who don’t win will have the satisfaction of knowing that their participation will go to help someone and their family, who knows maybe their own, who can’t afford treatment and medication, get the financial help and assistance to deal with the pain of this disease. That in itself is a big win for everyone.”

 

The cancer benefit raffle will take place once a month with the first being in March at the Mega Con Convention and continuing thereafter throughout the year at each convention that Grammars Ink and Legend Empire attends. Ticket prices to participate are only $1.00. You can buy as many as you want there is no limit. Plus, if you want to participate for your chance to win and can’t make it to the event, you can purchase a ticket online and your ticket will be entered into the drawing and who knows, maybe your ticket will be the one to win. The winning ticket will be drawn and announced at the event. If the winning ticket is drawn and the winner is not present, he/she will be contacted by phone.
